I'm talking about the problems that are posted here. I can't possibly mention all of them, but some specific cui problems that I'm having are: button images disappearing, including standard autocad images, not just custom buttons; button images shown in the list being 'not available', even though it's right there in the list; and toolbars rearranging all over the place when making a new toolbar. All of these problems can be found posted by other users here, plus a large number of other problems. Autocad is the only program I have that requires me to trouble shoot it, rather than the company that made it. Very frustrating, especially when the bosses question why we paid so much for something that requires me to spend large amounts of unbillable time to figure out why it doesn't work. So what are the other problems (non-CUI) that you referred to in your original post? ~nods~ MAP 2005 was a bit buggy. But, once I installed the service packs all was cool. (of course, my communication center thingy never worked, so I had to hear others talking about the SP before I knew it was available and to go download it) 'Jim Dory' wrote in message Admittedly this is in Map but just a few posts ago I posted 'unhandeled exception in CUI' here and on the map 3d 2006 group with no replies. Appreciate it if someone could help trouble shoot. I found 2005 to be too buggy to use (mostly the selection tool- clicking on an object to highlight it- would quit working so I never went much further with it). I get pretty irritated that software that is so expensive to purchase and keep current doesn't work. I'm also plenty aware that other people don't have similar problems so will not place all blame on autodesk - just a heap of it. Anyway, I still have 2004 and it works pretty flawlessly for me so I will just curse autodesk and keep using 2004. Wrote in message news:[email protected]. I think I see what you mean now - working with a clean install of LDT2006, every time I open CUI, edit a partial menu, and press OK - I get this...... AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.; error: Exception occurred: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation); warning: unwind skipped on exception; error: Exception occurred: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation); error: Exception occurred: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation); error: Exception occurred: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation)......and AutoCAD vanishes from the desktop:-0. This is a 'problems' website, what do you expect to see around here. Are we talking plain AutoCAD, or a vertical version? ADT2006, plain 2006 and LT2006 I had no problems with, the last two I did a lot of menu changes and customizations with no issues posted around here. This CUI is very new and different, I suspect most of the common issues will be resolved as everyone discovers then solves them permanently over time, just in time for R2007. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT. Re-reading your original post, you never asked anyone to help 'solve a problem'. Any word on when a patch will be avilable for 2006? It is apparent by the number of problems posted here that a patch better be on the way soon, especially to fix all of the cui problems. You asked in a peer to peer newsgroup when a patch will be available. You stand a much better chance of getting a reliable answer by asking your dealer or checking the Autodesk website.
